The online diary of a gay courtesan.

So long… farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye.

I haven’t been active much for quite a long time, but I wanted to leave off with a fond farewell. I’ve never really recovered from what happened last summer, and my heart hasn’t been at all in trying to figure out the business in a post-RentBoy world. For whatever it’s worth, I hope I’ve left people and places better than I found them. That was always my goal anyway.

I wish you all the best, and thank you for the 20-year stint.

Devon

PS

I never did finish the 13-part series. My apologies.

I really hate to hear this news. I’ve really enjoyed reading your stories and admire how you are able to share so much of your life with others. That takes real courage and inner strength. I regret not having contacted you before, but am thankful to have this opportunity to wish you success in your future pursuits and wherever your heart leads you….

Devon, your last post worried me and sounded very “final.” I hope you are OK.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am much better now! It was a very dark time, but I just turned 41 yesterday, and I feel great! xoxo

Hey, Dev, it’s ya boy, Taiwo-Akil. I’m glad you’re fine (in more ways than one) and that all is well. If you ever want to discuss creative endeavors outside “the bisiness”, you have my e-mail. Love you. Miss you. And never forget those Twitter DM’s. I meant every word.

Hey Devon,

I’m not sure if you still check this site or not but I could really use some help and advice from you if you can spare the time.

I’ve gotten quite a bit of interest from gay porn studios after submitting my applications, including from seancody which I know you may still not be a fan of.

I am a bit confused about which decision would be right to make. My family is quite religious and conservative so I don’t really have anyone I can logically think this through with at the moment.

Your help would be very appreciated.

Love,
R

Hey! So, my first question is always: Why do you want to do porn, and how does it advance you toward your goals? If you cannot answer this, then don’t do it. Once you have a legitimate reason that is honest and considered, then there’s the second question: What brand do I want for myself, and what am I (not) willing to do? Understand that you will make practically no money for the videos themselves. You have to have a strategy for using them to accomplish something else. I suggest you read the series located at the bottom of the page. I wrote 10 of the 13 parts for it, and you might find it helpful. Good luck!
