How do you cope?

by on Feb.01, 2010, under Hurtful episodes

I want to reach out and ask for your advice, dear reader:

I have a particular problem where I do not separate and/or compartmentalize. A very good friend pointed out to me today that if I “have clouds in one part of my sky it will then rain on everything in my day,” even if there’s no real reason. Put another way: If I’m affected negatively in ”A” then “B-Z” suffer too. What strategies do you have to keep balanced and focused in the various parts of your life when something is upsetting or irritating you?

Please feel free to either put your thoughts on the site by replying, or send me an email if you want your thoughts to be private.

I remember that although everything is connected, every thing has its own process and way of righting itself out. you just have to have nature run its corse, and things will turn out fine, even if its not the future you imagined.

I’m not sure it can be compartmentalized. If you think in terms of holistic health where one system effects another system, then it is impossible. I think you just have to draw a line in the sand and to get along with one part of your life while the other one exists until you are able to give it the time and attention it needs at another time. I guess in saying this, taking time for yourself (A) allows you to deal with other things (B-Z) in the most productive manner. When you don’t take time that is when the problems start to bleed over that line in the sand.

    Devon…

I was browsing and by accident found your blog… (I love the browsing because is like traveling without schedules that take you into a magic places you couldn’t ever imagine they exists).

Life is short, with lot of problems, bad people and situations that sometimes overwhelm you…

I believe in God, not a particular church’s god but MY GOD… He is all the time with me, not to protect me against evil (because we have free will and if i choose the evil things then bad things might gonna happen to me back, so the evil people can hurt me as much as i do to myself), but to comfort me… when something overwhelm me, I just let the problem on the side.

Then i refresh my self to get more energy to try a second time, and sometimes i need a third one (How many times is enough?) Only you, deep inside your heart you know the answer)… If it still bothering me after all my tries, i pray to Him, for help, and it will be up to HIM on how it gonna be solved.

I have to accept His will. He might send a angel (a friend, a lover, a perfect stranger to me, a real angel or just an idea or a sensation of peace), to help me deal with my problems and mistakes i made.

There is not something like a perfect life… but there is a perfect God and he will listen to you if you’re a gay or a straight, a male or female, an engineer or an escort boy. he will because he loves you…

    :-) Happy valentine day!
