Getting through the bad nights… a reminder
by Devon on Jul.18, 2009, under Uncategorized
There’s not much to say so far this weekend. So I’m just going to take a deep breath and reread something I wrote back in December: Getting through the bad nights.
I need to meditate on this for a while… I hope you are all having a safe and fun weekend.

Hope you are well. Just remember to try to keep you chin up and a smile on your face. I have a feeling your weekend is not going that well. Thats right take a deep breath.

You have a very good mentor. He has a point. And I, too, am getting the impression things didn’t go quite so well this weekend. But as long as you don’t have short-term expectations, then there isn’t a failure, because you have your eyes on the prize — the long-term goal. And the exposure from Sean Cody should help. At least I think it should.
And I just found out where Secrets is. SW DC. This is testing me. I don’t go to that part of town. Heck, I hardly visit D.C. But you’re a cool guy on RJ so I gotta show support. But SW DC? oy vey

actually the new national’s ball park is where the old secrets was located. the new secrets is across the street and around the corner from the new ball park. the area is vastly improved since the ball park was finished. the new club is a very nice venue inside.

So you’re talking about this address: 824 half street sw washington, dc 20024?
I walked pass the new ball park during inauguration when I was trying to find a Metro since the ones near the mall were closed. How far is it from the Navy Yard metro? I don’t mind walking around Dupont, but I don’t want to wander around that area late at night. I don’t know what the nightlife is like in that part of town.

Sorry, you had a bad weekend!! It was good to see you though, my friend. Sorry, I couldn’t come out more to brighten your nights here in the ATL. I wish you better times in DC. I know they miss you.

well i wouldn’t just wander around the area near secrets. there is a federal building next door to it, but it is more of an industrial area. but if you drove there and parked, it isn’t really bad. secrets also has people outside and the police are usually patrolling. the metro is not really close to secrets. you would have a little bit of a hike. people who go to the games park over by secrets since there is on-street parking.
